Bit early for the personal attacks isn't it?

Not in my name, you can leave me out of that "we". I'd be quite happy for them to simply come home and forget the whole nonsense.

Perhaps we need to start a "not in my name!" campaign.

Try reading the other sides of the argument.Who knows you may find there are two sides to every debate.

Just occasionally there is actually a political argument where one side is actually right and the other side is actually wrong.

I have yet to see an economic argument for brexit which doesn't require a dependence on the EU in either a transition deal which in its raw form is a statement that we cannot stand on our own feet so pretty please can we stay in until we can

If you have one please state it as I haven't yet seen such an argument ?
Gove was typical of hard brexit with wild flowery, meaningless sound bites about the exciting world market prospects ahead

So if you want to correct me with real economic data which supports the leave means leave argument i am all ears to being converted ?

What we appear to want is full access to their markets with none of their rules or say and at no cost
Father Christmas really does come down my chimney at Christmas and his Rhendeer really does chew the carrots

Just hope for all our sakes Labour don't bring down this government then you will get a Corbyn hard brexit because labour too say no to the single market! No to the customs union and No to immigration
Replace No with Yes
That was the message that came over loud and clear in this mornings broadcast

Even with the conservatives brexit is starting to look in it's true form as a flapping dying fish

It's rather sad to remember that the Brexiters were always claiming that once freed from the shackles of the EU we would once again be leading the world.

At the moment we seem incapable of leading ourselves.

Looks like things are staring to move - finally..

International trade secretary Liam Fox has travelled to Washington for early talks with US officials on a potential free trade deal.

In a two-day visit, Fox will meet US trade representative Robert Lighthizer, as well as the US Chamber of Commerce, trade policy organisations and business representatives.

US President Donald Trump has expressed desire to ink a new deal with the UK "very quickly" after it quits the EU in 2019.

Yes indeed we did - on 6th June 1976. The result was an overwhelming 67% for remain.

Obvioiusly as we are told that holding a second referendum would be an act of treason because the People Have Spoken* we must ignore any results of subsequent "illegal" pseudo-referendae. Those who promoted such a thing are obviously traitors to democracy and should be rounded up and disposed of at the earliest opportunity. That would be the only democratic course open to use, I'm sure you would agree.

Get your facts correct it was 1975 and the vote was to stay in the Common Market, there was no mention of the EU at the time although if people had read the treaty of Rome and not took the remain camp by their word the result may have been different.

We all know the EU will never change, if we had held a referendum for all treaties or if Lisbon hadnt been steamrollered through then history may have been different but when the people are held in contempt for 42 years then what do you expect.

But I do ask the question why ? When it will be at least a decade before we can replace what we will loose

So, as the talks subside into a pile of pig manure over the next couple of weeks, will the pound

(1) continue to collapse against the Euro as the utter hopelessness of our government becomes clearer and clearer by the day, or

(2) recover dramatically as it becomes clear that this #brexshit nonsense isn't actually going to happen

?

Asking for a friend, who wants some clues as to when to buy his holiday Euros.

Of course we could always just stop talking: as if talking counted.

The two parties' comments after the meeting were rather telling.
According to the BBC:
Quote:
Michel Barnier said he was "not in the frame of mind to make concessions or ask for concessions".

UK Brexit Secretary David Davis said talks got off to a "promising start".
Talk about putting a brave face on it
