Mr Baron, lovely to see you. How are you? How is the frozen north?

Lost your number when my mobile disappeared down a khazi in New York a time back so haven't been able to check in.

Is the pool still where it used to be? What? Just follow Bluey? Make it so.

Angels, old bean. The frozen North is now the Eastest of East Anglia. That excuse of loosing your phone down a khazi in New York is only valid for one use, you know?

Nice surprise hearing from the Baron. Hope all is well with you and yours. Would be good to hear from some more former trabbists to welcome back the Skipper.

You're never really a "former Trabbist", just a lapsed one . . . . Once bitten it never leaves you.

All the best Drapes.

Reminds me of a classic Pete'n'Dud sketch. Auditions for Tarzan. Respect for the founder of the thread prevents me from describing in detail the salacious contents . . . .

Morning folks.

The IF has been working overtime during the night so I have given up on any attempt to sleep. A large mug of tea is about to be tackled.

Weather seems fair outside at the moment.

What 4mastacker just said re everything.

The funeral went ok yesterday. Met up with the majority of my
cousins for the first time in decades. Time had been kinder to
some than others.

Looking out through the square window tells me that the grass is
once again in need of a cut. The forecast is good so it will be
done later.

We'll have to work out a system where you just blip the transmit
switch in answer to our questions Mr D.
One for yes, two for no.

All shipshape here, Captain ... even the occupant of lifeboat #5 has had a bath in readiness and I've organised new curtains for your quarters. There's a rather large box of cream cakes and strawberry tarts in there too.

Looking forward to hearing what happened ... well, not exactly "looking forward" because I suspect it was something serious, but I'm sure you have a story to tell.

I seem to remember the FSL going to the docs a few weeks before his disappearance with a suspected infected ingrowing toenail and was told that it wasn't infected and didn't need any antibiotics.

I do not wish to purchase a hose reel; of circular plastic and bent tube.
Nor mean of metal and painted green.
Galvanised with wheels.

A hurrumph is likely.

ThreadBaron better have a good set of reasons for absence.
Once the case papers are sent for Mr Draper to study!

That's right, hf ... perhaps something to do with that then? We last heard from him on July 2nd and on the 15th he was still in the critical care unit. That's rather longer than one might expect for an amputation given that he's been away for over 5 weeks now. I hope all is well and that he continues to make a full recovery. C'mon Captain ... the ship needs its steadying hand!

Simples.

Onya Herr D., good to know that you can at least read us and see that you've managed to drag a few malingerers out for an airing.

I heard they're also working on an anticlockwise clock.
Saw one of those once, hands went anti-clockwise, number 1 was top left, 11 top right, and 3 and 9 reversed, only 12 and 6 were in the same place. Impossible to tell the time !

What Ricardian's newspaper clip doesn't show is that the staff
car park at EMA is also a nomadic enterprise.

A fine morning to wake up to today and a fair old forecast to go
with it. Short lived though, the rain returns tomorrow.

Big question of the day is yet to be solved. What to have for
breakfast? I shall have another mug of tea and think about it.

Morning folks.

Another sunny day has appeared. Breakfast decision made and already taken -a bacon sarnie courtesy of Mr Watkins's finest bacon emporium.

Body aching a bit after spending yesterday on me canal hoiking rafts of floating weed out of the waterway and onto the bank.

Off for a day in the north of the county - a few jobs to do at senior daughter's house before she returns from her travels.

Aarhus in Denmark is the butt of jokes about it being 'backward' to the extent that the clocks there are believed to run backwards, and Aarhus Clocks are popular.

The Inn (pub) that we frequented had one on the wall.
