This should certainly qualify as an honourable effort. Unfortunately he wasn't successful -better luck next time!

That was quick. Cheeseburgers usually take rather longer to kill

"had been drinking, but not enough to affect his judgement, "

So what he did was well judged?

Not so.

2 Teens Killed Sneaking a Toboggan onto a Bobsled Run

They hit a gate part way down, but I'm not so sure they would have made if the gate had let them down the rest of the course.

There is a tourist luge run much lower down which was quite fast enough for me

I don't laugh at these things cos I am a serious contender. It was mid winter, and we wanted to show the kids snow. Family converged onto Toronto, several of them held up en route from CA due to snow. When we all met up, there was no snow.

We drove for a couple of hours to ski slopes and were not put off our quest even by signs on the side of the road, 'God, give us snow.'. Their livelihood depended on winter sports. Undeterred we went to a slope that had some man made frappe in patches on an otherwise green slope. We purchased a tiny floatie for the g-kids to slide on. I had a go.

Feeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrkin' hell, it seemed to go fast. And to the right. Tufts of grass loomed.

As they carried me to the car a CA lawyer asked me if I'd got an erection. I said I couldn't tell. He said, Pitty, a claim in CA for one of those won millions in compensation cos it wouldn't go away. Oh, my. It takes a certain kind of mind to be a CA lawyer.

He told me later I had no right to be alive. He bent one of those bendy straws to make his point. 'Your head was on your back. I don't know why you're alive.' I didn't feel very well and declined to get excited about life and the prospect of the journey home.

I was fine, in the same way that I was fine when I was young and my judo mentor dropped me on my head. It was probably that, that saved my life. Back then my neck learned to bend the wrong way.

I felt quite good until I walked into a tree while mowing the lawn. Damned baseball hats. Now I know why they wear the peak at the back.

Anyway, it was nearly the end of Grandpa. Too old now to throw one into the air and do a forward breakfall. Too old to do anything much except go Aaaaaaaaaaagh! and make lots of creaking noises.

Oh, and when we got back to Southern Texas, they'd had the first snow in 109 years. Not kidding, though it only lasted a day or so.

Re Birdbrain.
So a man who cannot fly or float was rescuing sea birds that, well, do both pretty well?

Gets my vote!

Not for a Darwin Award as he has already procreated, but certainly an honourable mention.

I believe so, anybody that comes prematurely is certainly not going to procreate
