Sweden introduces border controls with Denmark, now Denmark does the same with Germany. Some common sense filtering through, although a vision of stable doors and horses comes to mind!

Here's the latest list of Schengen countries introducing border controls:

Sweden: From 04JAN, expected duration 6 months, focused on border crossings with Denmark (ferries and bridge)
Denmark: From 04JAN and for an initial 10 days, focused on landborder with, and ferries from, Germany
Finland: Valid visa required to embark ferry services from Germany
Austria: From NOV15 to FEB16, all borders, focused on Slovenian crossings
Germany: From NOV15 to FEB16, focused on border with Austria
Norway: Had border controls from NOV15-DEC15
France: State of Emergency from NOV15, will introduce border controls from FEB16

If the Nordics are effectively cut-off from the immigration steam, that's a huge burden suddenly being place on the rest of Europe, primarily Germany. German authorities are already decrying the Swedish, Finnish and Danish closures, and will have to make some hard decision in the very near future. As I mentioned up stream, the Nordic closures may soon force rapidly expanding border controls to roll further and further South East. Where they were supposed to be in the first place, as per the Schengen agreement. I imagine the willingness to find the necessary funds will be a whole lot easier this time, now the countries having to foot the bill have seen what happens otherwise.

Fortress Europe, anyone?

Actually not always true. A well known German manufacturer of pressure washing equipment, for example, have a reputation for producing fragile equipment. (Although Ive also heard it suggested that said equipment is deliberately designed to have a limited lifespan of about 30 cycles in order that you have to regularly replace it. Which I suppose, if they can engineer its useful life that precisely, is quite noteworthy).

A chap I worked with recently is a materials engineer. He was explaining that the German motor manufacturers have realised that making a car that lasts for ever is not a good way to generate a regular new car market. He was saying that unlike days of old when it was best to wait out a new car range until the last series of cars, this is now reversed with the first batches being built to a very high standard and then being down-engineered by the replacement of expensive items with cheaper versions.

An example was given in the case of German gearboxes, which are guaranteed "for life". This now means 10 years or about 100,000 miles. Elsewhere Manufacturers such as BMW changed aluminium exhaust brackets with plastic ones but could not resolve the problem of smell in the first few thousand miles - which resulted in dealers replacing the new cheaper plastic component with a more expensive aluminium one, and of course billing the total cost to BMW.

Apparently most German cars are now manufactured to be reliable for about 7 years/100,000 miles following which components will fail at some unknown time in the future on the basis that the Main dealers will be shifting out one second owner car for a replacement second owner vehicle at some point around that period, and all they have to do to maintain a strong ongoing market is to retain first and second owners.

The marketing guys have established that any car beyond that age does not generate any business for the manufacturer, other than spares and many of these are not OEM in any case, and it is considered unlikely that people who run these cars will be able to afford a newer version and so there is no need to generate any brand loyalty.

The upside for buyers is that newer cars should be slightly cheaper.

I can't post a picture here but a part of the female body much admired by our fellow member Slasher with a small pork head will help in cases like that.
Seriously as I don't want to be moderated a second time it is very difficult for those men to learn to respect the local ladies. Obviously very harsh treatment essentially deportation might help.

Sadly though this is now affecting the generations who have not really done anything wrong,.... apart from voting for a Commie Woman...!

It's the generations not yet old enough to vote for the Commie who will really suffer.

German media reports "north african/arabian" - and it happened in HAM and STR (at least), too.

Now Mutti-Merkel wants "all the force the rule of law can give"

Yup, and the very best of luck tracking down a group of 1,000 men (who speak neither German or English) and bringing them to justice.
Interesting tactic going out in such numbers with such an intent. Some devious thinking behind it.

Why do you assume it was organized, rather than just lots of men with no respect for womens' rights doing what comes naturally?

Did anyone really think they'd suddenly become Western liberals when they set foot on the magic soil of Germany?

Merkel is so far out of her depth it's not even funny any more.

The media is full of the same kind of Huggy-Fluffies as Merkel. The whole Narrative collapses if they have to admit that we're not 'all the same under the skin'.

They tried.. but police in Cologne did a huge presser and after that it wasn't possible anymore to keep it under the carpet -- 4 days after the fact.
