Boy did that video bring back memories of when I was involved in M/C racing. Butterflys, happiness and sadness all came to mind.

Peter Williams had a motorcycle shop in Southampton at one stage.

That rc166 brought back memories. I used to attend the Mallory Park Post-TT races, and saw Hailwood riding it there. One year Hailwood chose to run the 350cc Honda in the 500cc race (Mallory is pretty tight) and won. Honda have a fabulous museum at Motegi. All their bikes are there, in serviceable but not over restored condition. Plenty of dings and scratched exhausts.

And if this short clip of Ago on the MV in the Island doesn't have your hair standing on end, you must be follicly challenged..!

12,000rpm.. and it looks like that's his top limit too.

Another spine-tingling MV for you:

The Rover P3 in the background belonged to my mate Malcolm, racing a production Bonnie at Cadwell Park. That's me on the Velo.

Agostini on his MV and John McGuinness on a replica of Mike Hailwood's '67 Honda have fun in the Island in 2013..
Crank the volume up and watch those arm hairs stand up!

Exhaust

Ahhh the Honda RCs with SMB Hailwood and Ralph Bryans aboard. The only engine that one could hear all the way around Mosport.

Wonderful!

Ah that MV Augusta tube has made me pull out a photograph of a silly young Caco and his now dead dad and a charming young Italian signing his name on my programme circa 1969...

My Dad raced but my Mother tamed him... such is life.

Later than that era but still missed...

Caco
