Mr. D-you brought back a blast from the past-Our Wullie-I had a battered copy of an Our Wullie annual bought at the jumble, which I thought was the funniest thing I had ever read. I wanted to be him (being the opposite sex didn't seem to be a problem). I tried sitting on a bucket-never could get comfortable. The metal rim used to stick in my bum!
Apart from the bit 30 mins after leaving Trondheim when I had my picture taken with a flattering red flash coming from the side of the road the trip home was uneventful. 600 kms on mainly B-roads is slow going when you get stuck behind a couple of trucks though. Scenery mainly stunning, and at times 'unusual'.
No2 Child very pleasant company. Doing stuff with someone who, unlike his father and sister, thinks the same way I do is just so easy.
Where have you lot hidden Ben & Antonio, and what´s this rubbish about one pair of shoes?
It was very serious as it was responsible for causing my leccy to go off on Sunday, which meant I had to leave home and family to get it back on again.
Actually the bit of cable that was thought by some to be faulty, actually wasn't. It was more a case of equipment failure
WRT bucket-sitting, it was said (by my mother) that you could tell people from Trimdon (County Durham) by the rings on their bottoms - gained from their habit of sitting on upturned buckets (used for fetching water from the communal tap).

The best comics when I were a lad were the American ones. Superman and Captain Marvel were wonders to behold. The artwork was amazing. One of the lads had a sister who was going out with a Yank. He had a plentiful supply of these comics which gave him the strongest bargaining power in the playground.
Hello again all, yer, but Bob Johns seemed a decent cove, any clues or did he get caaught up in the gun law debate?
One is not sure whether it was something said in the last TRABB thread, which was still there when I last looked, or, more likely, a major dummy spit in the Aus politics thread which has been deleted by the mods.
Good grief. I go for a bit of shore leave and when I get back there's nowt but a sinking hulk. Fortunately some of the water rats from the Limpics Legacy are still around and know what's afoot and a gold standard bit of sculling got me safely on board.
First impressions are of a well built craft but I'm unsure as to why we're equipped with Cruise Missiles this time round. Anything to do with the rail fare increases ?
And before it's too late
A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY REDDO
I hope you had as good a day as I did on my friend's birthday celebration.
I've had a great day thanks. Firstly, I was sent home a day early so it's a bonus day off. Mum rang this morning with her Sydney to Surf time of 2 hr 13 min. She improved her last year's time of 2:19. Also, while I was on tour, I got a call saying my new pushy's ready. So today I collected it. It's gorgeous. A lovely Specialized Roubaix Sport 2013, carbon fibre frame... MMmmmmm. Best of all, Checkers listened to what I asked for and got me a really cute Canon Ixus 510HS and cooked a wonderful delish din dins.
