I don't know if you realise, vulcanised, but when the term "tragic accident" is used in quotes, and police "are not treating his death as suspicious." they are talking about an obvious suicide.
The method of the suicide isn't relevant to this thread.

" they are talking about an obvious suicide."
Well, that saves the need for a coroners inquest then, irrespective of whom the deceased was ( ie it's the comment in italics, not the tragedy of the young boy's death that is relevant ) ....after all, accidents never happen to they ? ....same philosophy as those who have determined that the cause of an aircraft accident was pilot / engineer / CFIT error, etc, etc ....well before the AAIB et al have established the facts...
And now, back to why everybody knows that the supposed legacy benefits of the Olynpics will be for a select few
The legacy of Olympics will, as usual, be in the trouser pockets of the organisers and promoters. After all, thats what its really all about. The Modern Olympics have become exactly what they were originally in ancient Greek times - a means of transforming public money into private hands.
Meanwhile, amateur sport rolls on regardless. In general, all we need is a wide open space covered in grass.
Sorry, I no longer have a link. I was referring to a report I read at the time, about a sports stadium in or near Sydney (IIRC), complete with a dedicated tram line.... that's now overgrown with weeds, no longer used by anybody, and with the tramline discontinued...
