I'm in, corsair1d. Definitely will do better this time, particularly as it's due to finish in Galway where I live. I look forward to see my boat leading all you lubbers up Galway bay. That and the real boats too. There was a great buzz when it passed our way before. It will be even better now that the finish is here.
Back in under a new name, Vincita, which also happens to be the name of my first ship in the Norwegian Merchant Navy....................those were the days. Per
It takes some skill to sail on the same heading for 2 days then manage to hit a half mile wide lagoon entrance for the wind to change and you get stuck in the lagoon.

Oh yes, I shall join into the race, same name; Cunning Stunt.
About that tiny lagoon that I managed to sail into, if I had tried to do that on purpose, I'd never even gotten close to the island, let alone get trapped in its lagoon.
What, I think it took me two days to get out of that blasted thing?
Hell, you couldn't even see the blasted island on the normal view. I had to really zoom in to see why I had stopped.
Just registered as "superdocious1", it's a shame the format is different to the last Volvo I did... will anyone be spending $250 on the improved sail wardrobe?

Reason: okay it's not real money! ;)
1) What is the name and/or location of the atoll (?) [nearly perfectly closed circular harbor] in the mid-Atlantic that someone accidentally sailed into while sleeping and was stuck in for days?

Edit: Okay, that place. Where was that place? (Do you play the lottery or look for needles in haystacks?)
2) One person (or more?) slightly missed going around the far side of a buoy off the southern coast of Africa and couldn't understand why his miles from destination kept climbing.
He realized his mistake when a thousand nautical miles or so towards the next goal by South America, then decided to sail to Antarctica instead.
Did he ever get there? Did the game keep tracking that far south?.
Well 2 hours to go and they seem to have given us free credit so I am going for the pro sails.
They have an interesting energy thing which initially I thought was just a gimik but thinking back to short tacking up the coast of the isle of white its actually quite a realistic feature.
