Brokenspectre, I'm trying to register on SOL, have validated E-mail but it won't accept any password I choose. I just get enter a valid value. Any clues??
Thanks!
Edited - All OK now. It didn't like spaces in user name.

Somebody give me a clue where and how you all are racing, signed on this morning and the site claimed that race start had been delayed until Wenesday. Am I even at/on the right site?
con-pilot - howdy! The Volvo Ocean Race does not start until Saturday, 5 November.
In this post I have mentioned another option for sailing around the world. Over on Sailonline there is also another race, totally unconnected with VOR, that started today - a fun, short race through islands in the Stockholm archipelago - which is open for registration and racing.
SO... if anyone wants to try Sailonline there is ample opportunity to practise for the round the world race as well as to take part in a short race (in a Seacart rather than a VO70!)
The list of PPRuNers going to race round the world as a PPRuNe Flotilla on Sailonline is listed here.

Ok, for CS-DDO and con-pilot yes, you're on the right one, you are currently practice racing as the start for this race is on the 5th Nov. You've both successfully registered for the race and one hour before the start the practice stops and the computer puts you back on the start line ready for the off. On the home page underneath that race there is a race in progress called Mistli's BBQ Birthday Race 2011. Myself and 'rainbow chaser' are coming up to the finish. This is the one through the Stockholm archipelago.
I'm on VOR doing the pre race, although I'm slightly confused as to why I'm doing over 20kmh on the upwind leg when boats ahead of the wind are going slower? Surely shouldn't be the case?
Also im currently on a collision course with another boat, do collisions occur? I can't believe all the boats are visible on screen so must be happening all the time
