I wish them both well.

So do I. It's just the OTT media coverage that brings out sourness in me.

Wonder if he's called her Duchess yet?

And I'm glad there have been no significant protests either.
There was never a chance of that. Firstly, I doubt that they would be given any coverage, and secondly (and more to the point) the Police would have stepped down on them with a heavy hand.

There was no chance!

GOOD. Glad to see it all went off without any dramas. Credit to the extensive team that kept the freaks away.

Best wishes to the royal couple. Nice dress, too.

The wife and daughters watched The Wedding. Miss 7 yrs old passed out early, 9pm local.
Dad and Son watched Kenny on the laptop. Master 12 now gone to bed wondering why they pushed the football back.
Wife and Miss 10 still going strong 10.35pm local in the Antipodes.
Good luck to the newlyweds. Prince Wills if you read this, make sure you set up your black ops fund now. A hundred a fortnight into the consolidated revenue/gambling fund. Cash is King (and so will you be haha) find a locker around work that you can keep some cash in.
Get a shed, this is Blokey 101. Pretty soon the kids will come along and you will definitely need that 'cave' to retire to. If you have a son/s this is where you can impart blokey knowledge.
I understand some tight arse nicked Britannia, so at least get a tinny. You'll need at least a 20hp motor for towing the kids on the inner tube. Mercury are pretty good but get a short shaft for the estuaries round your way. Kate being a commoner should be alright at reversing the trailer, don't shout at her if she stuffs it up or there will definitely be no loving that night.
Other than that just agree with anything that she says and you should be right forever. Keep an eye on the newspaper on Thursday as this is when the beer and wine specials come out to allow you to agree with anything that she says.
Put only a tenner on the multi leg bets, if it gets up you are well in front. Do not tell anyone who might let Kate know of your wins.
Do not tell anyone who might let Kate know of your wins.
Do not tell anyone who might let Kate know of your wins.
Happy marriage. Remember happy wife, happy life.
Some bugger should have told your old man the first time.

I actually watched most of it. We still do these things well, though we have teh advantage of having all the old buildings and ceremonial kit. I was so moved I recalled the words of the late, great Les Dawson,

'to be born English is to win first prize in the lottery of life'.

I thought here we go again don't really want to watch it but turned the telly on at 0730 and watched every second until the end. Thought it was great and a boost for our Country and hopefully a bit of happy news for the World.

Sadly suspect the media will now flog it to death though.

One request, would anyone at the Palace let us swop the Duchess of Cornwall for the Duchess of Cambridge pleeeease!!

A Palace spokesman confided that the overall plan followed the same outline as that used for the funeral of the Queen Mother.

One thinks that any protesters would have got short shrift from the crowd, without getting the Bill involved.......

two things appealed: those trees in the Abbey were a good idea and the sister must now be the most eligible woman in the known universe.

Yerssss.....

A good shoeing from a bunch of grannies wearing the Union Jack must be a terrifying experience.

For you naysayers, so be it. I am proud to be a Canadian monarchist and proud of the UK which still has the ability to put a 1000 years of history on parade before us.
Yes, there are a lot of very bad things happening in the world but I for one will jump at any chance to experience what I saw today. I don't feel that it was at the expense of those who are suffering.

I only hope that when the young couple visit Canada in the summer, it helps to rejuvenate a sense of attachment in the Canadian youth.

Well done, and congratulations to the young couple. I couldn't say awake for it. Started at 0300 California time. The girls are still asleep though and it is just after 0800 now. Seems I may have a quiet morning.

Did see some of the pictures. The bride was lovely.

That said, I wouldn't want one of our own, but like the idea that you have the monarchy. There's just something comforting about that. Can't say what really. Just something. Maybe it's just that you have a long standing tradition and we're only a couple of hundred years old. More admiration than envy though.

Nevertheless, I wish a lifetime of happiness William and Kate.

William, your Mother would be proud.

Fortunately the Ruling Families contribution to their upkeep is sufficient to reduce the proletariats contribution to about 5p per head and I will happlly cough up for 1000 people who don't want to contribute at all, I'm sure there are plenty more who will do the same.

Stockpicker - Love the glass, the table, chairs, clock and even the salad bowl, ( well, a bit!), don't like the look of the 'Jobs to do Board' though!

I haven't watched it yet.

The misses, to my surprise, as she has always asked me what the point of the Royals are, last night ordered me to fly the Union Jack and set the DVR on two channels to make sure she didn't miss it and made me promise that I wouldn't watch any of it at work until I got home to watch it with her.

That'll be Friday nights enterntainment then.
