Not so, sabre. 'Tis in fact 34 Hérault.
Much if not most of the Larzac is in the Lozere, this bit is not.
And it is the deepest canyon in Europe, apparently.

Are you sure?
I may bet that deepest in Europe and second deepest in the world,after Colorado Grand Canyon,is canyon of the river Tara, border beetwen Montenegro/Serbia and Republic of Srpska.
Around 1650 meters. unfotunatelly I have no Pics, but internet is full of them.
I will try to find letter on some links with pictures.

Yes, situation normal....!
So.....a Russian plane, a tower like monument, something to do with rivers, a wander, trees painted white.....!
