Yes, but a long time ago. Unfortunately, it seems that I cannot post attachments (I would have thought 6 years would have been enough of a probation period!) I'll post a poser if I am ever permitted.
Mel Effluent: you don't have to post piccies as attachments; you can post a link to an image hosting site like photobucket, and the piccy will appear in your message. If you right click on any of the images and look at the properties, you'll see that they are all links to hosting sites.
To mark the eastern vista of Castletown a conical shaped building - The Wonderful Barn - went up in 1743 with the stairs ascending upwards around the exterior of the building. The Wonderful Barn was built by Mrs. William Connoly built in Leixlip to give work to the poor during hard times, and located beside the Leixlip By-Pass.
The Barn stands 73 feet high. The exterior winding staircase has 94 steps and goes right up to the top. The building has 5 floors all with a hole in the centre. It is flanked by 2 smaller barns.
A granary, short tower and dovecote have all been put forward as reasons for building the unique structure. In Georgian times it was a custom to use doves as a delicacy when other animal sources of food were not in season. The height of structure would also lend itself to sport shooting, while a central hole through each of the floors would suggest a place to store grain, which were lowered and raised through the holes in the floors.
Thank you. No, wrong continent in both cases. I had another piccy of same place that would give a clue, but as I'm still learning, photo bucket didn't like it. I'll try to get pb to like it.
something looking west, let's say, Madagascar, west coast, Or if I use my brain(limited option only available ), than, time is 02 50. If it is your picture, than we may suppose that your camera is set up to BST, so it ,means that this location is 5 to 6 hours ahead of BST, that set us somewhere at the midlle of Asia, and if I have to bet ,than Sri Lanka, Iran is not, Gulf states aren't westerly oriented, except Sa but this is not 5/6 hours ahead of...
or it is two fifty in the morning than a little chance that it is somewhere in America, again westerly oriented Florida, or Costarica, but very unlikelly
This is something I cannot solve because I just happened to drive by the place.
Sun rising or setting, Northern or Southern hemisphere, exclude South America and the "continent" of Europe, September 30th 2010 (assuming the date stamp is correct). Then start tabulating the possible scenarios based on which time zone the clock is set (assuming it is correct to any time zone).
Need some Giggling, as my old celestial navigation tables are no longer physically available to me… .
Ho hum.
Or maybe I wait for the next picture for a clue .
Edit: How about looking for the weather satellite overlay for the date for GiggleEarth and screen that for the clouds in the picture.
Maybe not.
