Just a note about using Giggle: I don't find myself cheating using newspapers for reading news, either .
Reg, Just for clarification, it is nothing more than my own preference not to "cheat" as I termed it, by using giggle.
I have no argument with those who choose that aid; it is just that I enjoy the mental exercice involved in either trying to remember where you saw the damned place, or working it out from the contents of the piccie, but using my own knowledge.
I did not intend to be critical. Can I still play, please?
Don't take me seriously. I am not taking myself seriously, so why should anybody else .
And cluetime: go North-West. Town <Town Name ><Region Name>; Via Castello leads to the castle, Via Palazzo leads to the residence of the Contessa (nowadays only on summers) and there is a cow house with cattle in the inner yard of the Palazzo.
Edit: Anybody want to make stab at my challenge to get things moving?

Reason: Move it!
Reposting to start a clean page and summarizing the main clues so far:
- North-Western Italy, within at most an hour-or-so drive from the source of river Po.
- Castle "of a town", located up on the hills above said "town of the region"(in that part of Italy it would mean West of the town .
