Wish such a list had been here when I looked through three hundred pages of the thread for the shot that turned out to be Ottawa.

Will get back to y'all with ability/time to help.

Interesting. Why does she have legs and not a fishy tail (if you'll pardon the expression)?

Because she is wearing a wetsuit:

The statue of a woman diver (titled "Girl in a Wetsuit" by Elek Imredy) in Vancouver, Canada was placed there when, unable to obtain permission to reproduce the Copenhagen statue, Vancouver authorities selected a modern version.

Cruz de la Valle de Los Caidos, near Segovia/El Escorial. Spain

Monument to the Fallen in the Spanish Civil War 1936-1939, an eerie place and one seen by Catalans as a sympol of fascist oppression under Franco. It is also General Franco's tomb.

Obviously there is a reason why I took the photo! I think this is fairly easy and will be solved by the time I've finished my roast chicken, the cooking smells of which coming from the kitchen are making my tummy rumble!

If solved before I get back, the 'solver' has control.

My huku's not ready yet, so yes, Dakota Building is correct. I expected you to say why it's famous but you got the right answer, so you have control.

Thanks for the control, but I have no pictures ready, so let anybody have a go.

Most folk will know that John Lennon lived and died there.

Izod tester's challange - Blandford, Dorset I think. Refers to the fire of 1731, Bastard was the surname of two brothers who designed and rebuilt the church.

Sorry, nothing to post this time so open house of correct, or perhaps carry on with Finfly's.
