The Maryland state legislature meets on the 20th century annex of the old state house.
G. Washington submitted the resignation of his commission to the Continental Congress when it was meeting in the old state house.
The Maryland State House
Annapolis is the home of the US Naval Academy. Also of St John's College which was founded not long after Harvard.
Two weekends in October Annapolis hosts boat shows: sail the weekend around the 12th and power the following weekend.

Just to bring aviation into this thread, Annapolis is the home of ARINC, nice offices opposite the Marriott Courtyard.
