You don't need to make your life uncomfortable if you want to boycott Scotland. They don't make any of that stuff anymore anyway.
Just look on the label of the product. If it says 'Product of Scotland' or 'Made in Scotland', don't buy it. Also, you can decide to travel and stay somewhere beside Scotland on vacation. And don't drink Scotch.
Turning off the television or avoiding bridges to spite Scotland is silly. It would be like turning off your GPS to hurt the US.

Oh dear and they wonder why the rest of the world have a tendency to dislike them!
The same old we can do as we like and others can only make decisions if the mighty US approves.
Was going to boycott American goods in protest, but the only exports I can think of are cranberries and regional conflict, neither of which appeal to me anyway.
I'm picking up a new Jeep 'Patriot' complete with 'freedom drive' 4x4 transmission tomorrow. I'm getting the feeling that I really ought to have gone for one of these instead.
Whassamatta, Goldilocks steal your porridge? I'm happy to see Mali represented on PPRuNe. I have an old friend, named Henri, who worked at the US embassy in Timbuktu, his first post as a state department foreign service officer. Do you know him?
Anyway, as English is probably not your first tongue (I admire you learning it), I should point out that my post did not advocate a boycott of Scotland, but merely offered some tips to those who might like to. A more careful reread should make that important distinction.

That says either the rest of the world dislikes like Americans, meaning we all dislike the same things; or you inadvertly forgot to put a slash between dislike and like and really meant to say the world tends to dislike or like us, a statement with which I can have no quibble.
Otherwise, carry on, and keep working on your English. You're doing great, Baby!
