fantasy.premierleague

I have been playing this game since 2005/06 season.
It comes to my mind that we could create PPRuNe league head to head or classic, and use this forum for exchanging exciting messages during the season.
we need six player at the beginning,in order to create private league.
If there are 6 interested in I will manage the rest.
Best Regards,
SINGA

I've been a participant in this game in an office mini-league for two years now. It's an excellent game, and there's no charge.

I'll happily take part.

Is it just Premier League Clubs you can have? I'd be up for it, but even more so if I can have my team

I like a challenge, we'll start the season on minus 10 points

Count me in, can I be Man Utd now the winker has gone?

Yes - free to enter and play. In fact they give you £ 100 million to spend

One more, and I will create league.
It is important that anyone who wants to play with us to register his/her own team at www.fantasy.premierleague.com . there is quite good explanation at their site for newbies so it is not complicated.

Tactics and result at the end of season is different story. But it is really interesting and exciting.
It is free to play, and there are also prizes given by Premier league for the best one. For me it takes up to 30 minutes per gameweek to prepare my team for challenge.
So it is free, not complicated and interesting.

I did a quick heads up on the main features of the game for another group of people, so it seems sensible to share it here.

The game is the official Fantasy Football competition of the Premier League. It is played via the internet and is free to enter.

You pick a ‘squad’ of 15 players- 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards from pretty much the entire squads of all the teams in the Premier League. You can pick a maximum of three players from any one club.

You have a budget of £ 100 million. Different players have different values, so you decide whether to blow the budget on a couple of superstars or go with a squad of consistent ability.

While your team will be entered into the main ‘league’ participants can also form themselves into a mini league – typically based on a workplace, group of friends etc. This doesn’t affect the way the game is played, but it’s easier and more fun to compare your performance against 10 people you know rather than 500,000 complete strangers.

Every week, you will choose a team of 11 from your squad; the remainder will be your substitutes. By varying the number of defenders, midfielders, forwards, you can effectively pick a formation; 4-4-2, 4-3-3 etc. You select one player as your captain – this player will earn double points. You can also set your substitutes in order of priority. If one of your first 11 doesn’t play, for whatever reason, he will automatically be substituted.

Points are awarded as you might expect – for goals, assists, clean sheets etc. Impressive performances can generate additional points, but yellow and red cards will lose points.

Player transfers are also possible. One transfer a week is allowed, without penalty, subject to budget availability and the maximum 3 from any club rule. Additional transfers are allowed, but at the expense of a points deduction. Once a season, you can play a wildcard, allowing as many transfers as you like in a particular session without penalty. Players values can rise or fall during the course of a season, and there is a difference between a players selling and purchase price, so frequent transfers will erode the value of your squad.

Comprehensive statistics on each players performance and value are available to guide you in your squad selection and transfer dealings.

There is a parallel game running alongside the main league / mini leagues, in which all participants are randomly placed in a league of 20. During the season, each participant will play everyone else in this league, twice, on a ‘head to head’ basis. The player with the most points ‘head to head’ will win that match and earn 3 points. This gives the head to head league some similarity with a conventional league. There is also a knockout cup competition running alongside the main game, again on a ‘head to head’ basis.

Open To All??

SINGAPURCANAC

As this is a public forum you may want to delete the league serial number as now it will be possible for anyone who just happens to stumble on this web page to join the league. It will then no longer be a PPRuNe League.

Just a thought.

I'm waiting til the transfers and post pre-season-tour injuries are all known before picking my team.
Got caught last season with hardly a fit/eligible player and had to use my wild card in the first week.

As the game is very interesting I hope that there will be more people to join us.
I also would like to thank all of you for joining league. 5 plus one"guaranteed" more is not so bad for the beginning.
Once when we reach 20 members we will have an opportunity to create Head to Head PPRuNe league that will create more interesting season.
Also free flow of "essential information" among us will give opportunity to each member to improve his/her personal scores while playing in Non-pprune leagues.

@TURIN,
Ok, I will delete Code from post but it doesn't prevent anyone who is registered on this forum to contact me or anyone else who is member of our league for code access.
we will remain a little exclusivity on this league just for PPRuNe members.
Thanks for good idea.

You can, of course, change your entire team, without penalty any time up to 11am on 15th August.

I've actually used 'autopick' to select a squad so I can at least enter the game. I'll then deselect the whole squad and pick my own players a few days before the season starts.
