Guess who's climbing up the ladder fast?

Now only if I hadn't put Larsson as a SUBSTITUTE the night before Saturday - for the first time I was praying that one of my players would get injured. None did. He scored two goals and got a bonus. Lost a possible 13 points or so

Going through that classic phase.....lost patience with Tim Cahill on Friday so what does he go and do next... Signed in David Dunn who immediately got injured....

Quite a quiet week for the recent high scoring players. A few more like that could make things interesting.

That depends. Has your team scored more than 800 points already?

Well, with so many of us scrapping at the top, I wasn't sure if we needed the extra competition...

But I'm only joshing, Ron. Come on in, the water is lovely. I'll PM you the league joining code.

Thank you.

And 800? I wish! Only just cleared 700, it's 'cos I started a week late and not due to any poor management, honest.

Sigh... 'twas one of those weeks where I could do no right. I dropped Kuyt fow Wright Phillips AND made him captain - he goes off after 19 minutes. Ryan Giggs goes off at half-time. Chelsea concede THREE, which means Terry and Cech are of no use. And I'd switched Friedl for Cech - and Villa's back four don't let any Utd striker trouble him. At least Agbogbogbog scored, as did Bent.

Sigh.

There is an etno song in the culture of my people :
Quote:
....If all seas had been ink and all skies list of paper
I couldn't write my problems...

So shall I start, two from Hull at the bench, captain Terry! instead of Fabregas,(based on ideas that Chelsea would destroy bloody Everton,And Liverpool would punish Arsenal)
Ofcourse who would expect totenhan and manutd result,
but that it is the reason why I like the game.

It was one of those topsy turvy weeks. Villa beating Utd, Everton getting a draw at Stamford Bridge, Wolves beating Spurs at the Lane. I dropped Richard Dunne to the bench assuming that it was a certainty that Man Utd would score at least once at home. And I put Cech in goal rather than Sorenson because there was no way that Everton were going to score..... Still, at least - having toyed with the idea of making Valencia captain - I stuck with Fabregas. Not a great week, but not a disaster either.

Very odd week for the top guys. And to make matters worse the Wigan v Bolton game's just been called off depriving me of a couple of players worth of late points...........

Never thought I'd hear that phrase uttered in football.....and don't even suggest "England dream pairing"

Worst week possible. I did not check that the games were mid-week, so I went in with the same combo. Got slaughtered. Then the weekend...

MU lost, Chelsea let a goal through (while I'd left Friedl out in favour of Cech, AGAIN), Terry picked up a Yellow, City let three through, Pool lost, Agbogbog did not score, neither did Bent. Larsson did, but not enough.

Down to 14th from 10th

Tevez purchased last week and made captain. How good a buy was that? Despite him being one of only two players in my squad who got a game this week I am, once again, back on top.

And the winner is...

Hats off to Mr S for a clear title win , which is more than can be said for his beloved Reds.......Did make me smile on a flight to Hamburg yesterday to see more Scousers than Cottagers, oh how I laughed that they presumed they'd make the Europa final

Back in Fantasy Land (ain't that where the real deluded Anfield mob normally resides ?), I'm happy with upper mid-table mediocrity
