Do as they do in America, simply add points to test results of minority candidates to bring them up to a pass level. When the knowledge act was initiated in 1851 it was obviously intended to exclude women and ethnic minorities from driving.
Who cares that London has the finest taxi service in the world and the drivers actually know where they are going, political correctness is more important than standards. Also it's hardly a job suitable for women, especially at night. I've driven a taxi and wouldn't let my wife do it, there's some real scum out there.
BTW Jews are well represented in the ranks of Hackney Carriage drivers, doesn't this count with the looney left ?
What we really need is to follow San Franciscos example during the 1990s of employing Asian women in the fire service, slinging a 15 stone man over her shoulders and carrying him down a ladder is a suitable job.
