The camera's were removed sometime in the last 48hrs....in theory, the roadworks are due to be completed at the end of the month....quite why it has taken so long to renovate the surface and paint the white lines is another matter entirely.
As for the speed limits and enforcement, I remain intrigued as to the criteria here. On the M60 as per above, they have been in situ from the commencement of the works. Now, at long last, the A5117 ( from the end of the M56 to the junction near RAF Sealand ) is being upgraded. There are 40mph signs in place and the distance is about 2miles...give or take...but no camera's. I say no camera's in the fixed sense as Cheshire's finest have been in situ with the mobile version a few times and frankly, to those who got caught, tough....nobody to blame but yourselves given the distance involved and the short period required to adhere to a 40 limit. Given though, these look like being fairly complex road works, I do, as I say, wonder about the abscence of specs camera's which seem to be mandatory at such locations.
