All kidding aside my real gut feeling is the Democratic ballot will be Hillary Clinton running for President and Barack Obama as the Vice Presidential candidate. That will be very hard for the Republicans to beat.
Hopefully Rudi Giuliana will win the Republican nomination. For Vice President, well Connie Rice would be great, however, she has stated that she has no desire to run for an elected office, sad.
No matter who ends up winning the nominations it is going to be a very hard, viscous champaign in the Democratic Party's side. It has already started, the Clinton group has already accidentally leaked the fact that Barack smokes cigarettes.
Sad but true that he'll waste a fortune in the running, he's too young and has nothing to show. The fact he's black is just another gimmick and makes no difference. My money is on Hillary C to win.
Rudy G would be next on the list.
It would be a very powerful message if the American people were to elect a black President.
We would have already had a black President if Colin Powell had ran when he had the chance. I would have voted for him regardless of the party he ran under.
Of course he could still run, however, I don't see that happening.
Now, the interesting thing is that on some latest polls released this week they show Hillary leading Barack by a slight margin with Democratic Black voters, especially female black voters. Some reasons given were that Barack is not black enough , not trustworthy because he attended Harvard University (a mostly upper white class University) and that because Bill Clinton will really be the President if Hillary wins. Bill Clinton was termed the 'first black President' for various reasons.
Barak is gaining rock star status, but Hillary has more experience. Her money machine is more powerful than any in either party.GOP party loyalists despise her and will mobilise every man and woman (dead or alive) to vote against her. There is some good news for the Democrats - John Kerry will not be running.

Rudy is a good man obviously. I would seriously consider him for President.
He will have trouble with Christians and other conservatives (the core voter blocks in the party) because of his 'liberal' ideas about gays, abortion and equal rights to name just three. A McCain/Giuliani ticket seems like a possible winner.

Another good man that I would consider if nominated. Mr. Powell is not cut out for presidential politics. Trouble is, he is honest to a fault and ever-so-honourable.
Whatever names end up on the ballots, we can only hope that lessons were learned from Mr. Rove's failed divide and conquer plan of political domination and that his dirty bag of tricks will accompany him on the way out the door.

According to some people in the world, we have already done that.
How about this for a change: instead of judging on the basis of skin color, ethnic origin, or political connectedness, why not listen to what the man says, how he listens and considers those who have different views, and how he plans to pick his advisors?
Oh yah -- far too radical to be president!
But right now he's my choice, and I'm a raving rightwing lunatic.
Good charismatic persona. Very charming for the media, but even more of a lightweight in political experience than Bush Jr was when he ran, and that isn't saying much.
His middle name is Hussein. Don't think that would matter much, only when piled on to other "problems" if they arise.
I don't believe the "black thing" is a factor. One of my picks would be Powell/Condi Rice. More brains and experience with those two.
Keep in mind though, my political opinions are not even sought about those running for the local dog catcher postion.
