I'm very curious as to what Obama promised Bill to torpedo Hillary's campaign.
A little intern on the side?

If I recall correctly, Bill likes his interns on the chunky side.

Plausible deniability I'm sure.

Check it out...

Iowahawk has weighed in with some reporting on a less-well-known aspect of Obama's campaign strategy.

I'll tell you what is so funny about that prospector. The Democrats are attacking Cindy McCain because of her half sister. Now talk about hypocrisy.

(By the way, the NPR (National Public Radio) is a very left wing, extremely liberal, pro-Democratic Party radio network.) One can view it as the Democrat's answer to 'Fox News'.

Hillary Comment to Barbara Boxers Husband

Last month I met a lady in Fiji, that is very good friends with D. Barbara Boxer and family. If you all remember correctly, Hillary and Obama met at Ms. Boxers Washington residence after he had secured the nomination.

Boxer's husband called this lady I met the day after that meeting, telling her I have to tell you about a conversation I had this morning with Hillary. As a point in history, Boxer's husband had climbed Mt. Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary. Anyway, Hillary says, next time you climb Mt. Everest, take Bill with... you and leave him there!!!

Speaking for the rest of the world (yes there are people out there).

We are all sick to death of it

It should be a domestic thing like American football where the rest of the world have zero interest!

If the poster is so exasperated over this, why is he/she reading this thread CoF?

My thoughts exactly, Con. And it's not as if we're the ones keeping the thread alive.

"It should be a domestic thing like American football where the rest of the world have zero interest!"

I would have to agree with that observation, up to a point. It is only when finance for massive PR spin is being donated from sources that have no direct connection to American domestic politics that one starts to smell a rat.

The money that is being donated from outside the country for these elections is certainly not for the good of "domestic things" within America. Or if it is perhaps you could enlighten us???

VAPilot...the qualified statesman you seek for our nation's leader has been replaced by charisma and rhetoric. The fact that a campaign can be won on the words "change & hope", is a sad commentary. But then again, I'm not to pleased with the legacy my current adminstration is leaving, so rhetoric and snake oil went flying off the shelves and Obama brought in records contributions.

I do hope an investigation is forthcoming in light of Maureen Dowd's findings. The article raises too many questions and concerns.
I think the attention deficit disorder 'average' Americans are afflicted with, combined with the mentality of sheep makes us easy pickins for the media day after day, year after year. As one comic likes to say, "I have the needs of a mushroom: keep me in the dark and feed me sh!te."

Meanwhile Obama slips in under the radar and the answer I keep hearing when asking everyone I know: 'What do think about Obama?' is either 'we don't know him' or 'I don't trust him'. Many such responses come from Clinton supporters.

Same here, VAPilot... I liken it to the chicken house effect. Keep the light on, keep feeding the chicken brains rhetoric, non-stop, 24/7 and one day we'll be plumped up with decisive ambivalence come November.

Hmm Joe Biden is a committed global warming alarmist.

Gettheflick the Aral Sea is a product of Soviet era irrigation projects which dammed/diverted inflows. Nothing more sinister than that...not manmade climate change nor pollution...just lack of foresight.

Speaking of reality check CoF, this could be the first Obama assassination attempt:

Quote:
CBS4 has now learned at least four people are under arrest in connection with a possible plot to kill Barack Obama at his Thursday night acceptance speech in Denver. All are being held on either drug or weapons charges.

CBS4 Investigator Brian Maass reported one of the suspects told authorities they were "going to shoot Obama from a high vantage point using a ... rifle … sighted at 750 yards."

Law enforcement sources tell Maass that one of the suspects "was directly asked if they had come to Denver to kill Obama. He responded in the affirmative."

The story began emerging Sunday morning when Aurora police arrested 28-year-old Tharin Gartrell. He was driving a rented pickup truck in an erratic manner according to sources.

Sources told CBS4 police found two high-powered, scoped rifles in the car along with camouflage clothing, walkie-talkies, a bulletproof vest, a spotting scope, licenses in the names of other people and methamphetamine. One of the rifles is listed as stolen from Kansas.

Subsequently authorities went to the Cherry Creek Hotel to contact an associate of Gartrell's. But that man, who was wanted on numerous warrants, jumped out of a sixth floor hotel window. Law enforcement sources say the man broke an ankle in the fall and was captured moments later. Sources say he was wearing a ring with a swastika, and is thought to have ties to white supremacist organizations.

A third man -- an associate of Gartrell and the hotel jumper was also arrested. He told authorities that the two men "planned to kill Barack Obama at his acceptance speech."

That man, along with a woman, are also under arrest.

The Secret Service, FBI, ATF and the joint terrorism task force are all investigating the alleged plot.

The U.S. Attorney in Denver has scheduled a news conference for Tuesday afternoon.

CBS4 will have new details on this developing story at 10pm.

Can't really blame the Iraqis for being interested now can we? Their lives are going to be affected by the outcome of this election more than anybody elses, including the average American.

Frankly I think it's only fair to give them a vote, it's the least you could do.
