If you want to include european entrepreneurs for the last 230 years we will kick your ass, unfortunately this is the thread about the US election. Maybe food for another thread.
How is your prediction for the final result looking CP?

Okay, just as long as it is not about entrepreneurs back up by European Armies and Navies. You know, like India.

I still don't pretend to have the first idea of how your electoral college thingy works, but to my basic grasp of mathematics,
this has McCain ahead by 20,000-odd votes at this time.

Well, my state failed to repeal its income tax and with BHO leading, Americans seem to want to handover their hard-earned money to a bunch of bleeding hearts who will, without doubt, waste it. They have voted, now they will be punished as Ed Koch said.
We are also about to see if my very English granny was right, "freed slaves make the worst masters". R.I.P. Nana

Blue Wolf... unfortunately, the electoral vote is NOT favoring McCain. He's lost some key states.
And it doesn't make sense to many of us here either, but there you go!

Just about all the networks and press are calling BHO the winner! Best of luck to him.
The conservative comeback battle begins on Jan 21st.

McCain's speech was gracious and sums up the sentiments of many of us who voted for him. We are a nation who will come together to support our elected president. I hope my fears are just that and he fulfills the task of turning this nation around.
And I appreciate our int'l Ppruners for their gracious comments and support tonight, despite a highly energized and often tense period during this campaign.

Well, the people have spoken, just have they always have. For better or worse, just as President George W Bush was elected, like it or not.
As I have stated before, we survived four years of Jimmy Carter, we can survive four years of Obama.
However, to my dear English friends and my European friends, and yes to our friends that hide where they live, I only have just one question.
If we, the citizens of the United States, have been so stupid and wrong since 1939, just what makes you think we are so much smarter now?
Think about it.
Anyway, well done, President Barrak Hussian Obama.
Now, if you excuse me, I need to go apply for welfare. Because we are selling everything we own and moving to England.
(Or buy a little island somewhere while we still have money.)
Just kidding, I hope.

Well, I could suggest reading the last 234 pages of this thread, but you seem like a nice enough chap to be spared the pain.
McCain promised not much, not his style. Was likely not a very conservative administration.
BHO promised us, and now will have to deliver, poor guy, the Moon, the Stars and everyone a self-licking ice cream cone. Go figure.

Oops, sorry, I was trying to figure out how many beers I owed folks.
Oh, you're right, can we bring three dogs and three cats?
Naw, just kidding about leaving. However, we will make some changes, money wise, just in case.
