Did the interepid aviators and rocketeers of the Apollo 11 (and all missions) ever reach the Moon. There is sooooo much eveidence against eg, when about 12 astronauts were asked to swear on the Bible that they did, almost all refused to do it (but they went didn't they!). See here 2 very short 2 min clips that helps to proove the point ( they probably DIDN'T!). I am sad that as a boy and for many years I was amazed and bewildered by the achievement, and part of all pilots I am sure would love to go into space, but what a con this has probably all been. Why now on PPRuNe, the thread is all about the ultimate flight and landing and as pilots, we all the same breed, do you think these boys look nervous and are liars?

Oh, and not appropriate for this forum, this has gota be the BIGGEST AVIATION/FLIGHT RUMOUR OF THE LAST 50 years! Oh and regarding JB, surely this isn't a malicious high heated nasty topic, unless there is something to hide. I say an open and balanced opinion would do better than a slanging match in JB. Well, unless the whole issue should be kept under wraps like the last 50 years then so be it, but it was THE MOST HISTORIC MANNED FLIGHT or a RUMOUR??? Give it the light of day, there is the evidence, why deny visible evidence.

It's one of the great Internet "conspiracies" subjects of all time and there are links galore.
Oh, and by the way, Concorde never landed at New York. It was all done with mirrors and noisemakers.

If it is all a fake, I assume that the US government circa 1961 decided to cremate 3 astronauts and claim that their ship set on fire then? I refer to "Gus" Grisson, Roger White and Edward Chaffe and Apollo 1. Surely by your somewhat inadequate reasoning that man never landed on the moon, then all the Apollo programme was a stictch up. If this is the case, then your comments are insulting to the memory of those that died in just about the most horrible way possible, as well as the bravery of those that set foot on the moon. Although there are some consipracy theories knocking about the web on this topic, I imagine that most of them are bourne of those individuals whose sexual prowess is exercised to the accompanying sound of a mouse click! They did it, they were brave, and they gave us things in modern society that we wouldn't have, such as teflon and bog roll just to name 2. Get a life, and stop questioning the historic acheivements of someone else's!
Yup, the moon landings didn't take place. 'Twas all a major stunt to take the eyes of Vietnam. And 9/11 was caused by the American government. Oh, and the Aliens at Area 51 have infiltrated the American govt. and are precipitating a New World Order.

AlexB, You've totally missed the point, by trying to introduce a rational element into the discussion. These people believe Apollo 11 never happened. Belief has never had anything to do with rational thought. (I won't go into other examples here.....) Any rational argument only confirms their conviction there's a conspiracy or cover-up.... especially since they're incapable of understanding the argument....
I wonder if anybody has been monitoring the actual signal level of the return from those retro-reflectors? NASA has been mentioning repeatedly, quite recently, that the moon dust was a nuisance, and is going to be a major nuisance again for any further moon missions, because it's so fine, irregularly shaped, electrostatically charged, etc and sticks to just about everything. Have there been enough micrometeorite impacts close by to slowly add a film of dust on the retro-reflectors?
