Way to close to the runway to be one of mine
You've reminded me of the day I had to give an Aer Lingus a practice SRA as part of my initial training. His final comment on transfer to the tower was "Aye, you were doing such a grand job, till you tried to compensate for the wind and pointed us at the perimiter fence"

I'd personally prefer something like "Shake Your Bon Bon", and contributing crew should get a bonus too

So much of that flip-flopping oscillation disappears if some use is made of crossed controls. I would have thought that he was hoping that the angle would just ‘go away' in time.
I guess that folk are so worried about touching something expensive, that they don't realise just how much leeway they have with a bit of wing down. Is this the modern teaching to keep it so flat?

That's what an approach would look like if the plane were being flown by my computer with Antivirus running
.
That model flying is spectacular. I would have been more impressed if he'd flown it out one door and back in through another though
.

The video shows their second attempt to land, and yes, they used their alternate afterwards (LPFR). From what I've been informed, the first attempt was even more spectacular. No frightened pax came out of that plane as the crew (cap.) explained to pax what they were doing at that time.

Piece of the proverbial to fly like those model guys do - there's no wind, no clouds, no sun to melt the wings.
