MOL buys a gee gee

From Bloodhorse.com regarding the recent Tattersalls sale at Newmarket ........

Breeders' Cup Mile winner War Chant had a few catalogued and there was demand for a half-sister to this year's group I Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Bachelor Duke. The buyer was agent Margaret O'Toole for 400,000 guineas, outbidding Sheikh Hamdan's racing manager Angus Gold. She was acting for Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary

That's a lot of tea/coffee/ crew water .......

Latest:

Balpa have just announced that they have accepted the first horse as a full member.

It seems that War Chant got talking to the other horses at the auction and found out that he now has to supply his own saddle, riding colours and oats.

MOL has stated that one of his pilots, rather than a professional jockey will be selected to ride this season to keep costs down.

The personnel who will be required to clean the stables have yet to be notified.
