After a nightmare last couple of months in which almost everything bad that could happen to a young whipper-snapper like me, has happened, I need to do a couple of things.
Firstly, what do you all do to releive the stresses and strains (some, nay most of them woman related) of everyday life?
Secondly, and purely for my benefit AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

60 mins of sit-ups, push-ups and weights as many days a week as possible (in times of high stress that's 7 out of 7).. .And if mr40 in my good books, something else as well.
Been there, done that. "Went running for the shelter of Mother's Little Helpers" on the Quack's prescription. Amitriptyline Hydrochloride , 20 Mg per day. Works wonders!
Otherwise, listening to Classical Music, especially Bach and Handel, a large glass of a decent single Malt. Otherwise Comfort Food, sherry trifle, large bar of chocolate, Galaxy and Toblerone being favourites, Bottle of Lambrusco Bianco, large steak, (well done), with Mushrooms, Onion Rings.
Of course Saturday and Sunday are great stress reliefs for me as I very seldom work on those days, and work, while I am grateful for it, is the biggest source of stress in my life.
One extremely good stress relief is to stroke a lovely cat. I prefer shorthair Moggies. The purring of a friendly cat is very relaxing!

Well, back in the 1960s, when I was but a wee lad in school, they used to put something in our tea to make us forget about women......and I think it's just beginning to work!
When was the last time you went for a good, long walk up on t'moors? Admit it, ages ago...
Dress up warm and dry, then drive up through Glossop until you get to the high bit of the Snake Pass.
Exit car, turn either left or right, and then walk yer socks off. Wet weather and muddy paths are all part of the 'ard man experience, so simply trundle on through.
Admire the wildlife, there's plenty to see, and also the not so wildlife, such as them sheep wot are dotted about the fells.
Then, the icing on the cake: if you see a baby lamb, then kick its f**kin' teeth in.
You brought back fond memories. Originally I came from Denton but spent my married life living in Stalybridge. Which brings me to what I did when I got Divorced About 16 years ago. 365 nights without a single night in, Clubs pubs whatever. I then promptly replaced ex and settled down to a more sedate and satisfied life.
