Interviews, jobs & sponsorshipDo ya feel lucky, Punk? Well do ya? If so, here's the place to swap the hot gen on who's sponsoring or employing, their selection criteria, and where those oh so elusive first jobs can be spotted in the wild. Watch out for the tumbleweeds...
ms over 18 months. in the past ctc were the only cadets provider. since last year we have ctc, oaa, parc, p2f(bmi). as i agree 160 is a good number, oxford is going to deliver at least 70 this year. if i remeber the numbers for 2011 were 250-you do the maths. moving forward, oaa got the mpl contract from next year 30 cadets to start then 10-20 every 3 months. ezy in a year or two will approach maturity and the expansion will cease-no cadets needed.
Just looking back at your previous posts. Last year May you mentioned you were low twenties in the pool. I did my AQC after than and am now in the low twenties. Surely you can't be in the same position, which means, even though at a slow rate, the ATP pool is moving.
Before paying for the rather expensive AQC I knew that it would be a long wait and CTC always made it clear that they would only get guys from the ATP pool if there are no Cadets available. I was prepared to wait up to 2 years. Nearly reaching mid-point. I'm just glad to see that the pool hasn't completely stopped. That every now and then an ATP is fetched to do TR and more ATPs are joining the list. Yes, you could argue that it's just another way for them to make money, but still...
The way things are running out there, I still think this is a great opportunity. Have just hang in there, I guess....
im in single digits now since november last year, talked to ctc last week and my number has not changed...and apart of a very slim chance for the initial interview for sco with cathay there is nothing left for this year to hope for.
Single digits! That's good news, for you and for the rest of us. Personally I found it difficult to believe them telling us that they wouldn't need any ATPs when we were still in the 1st quarter of the year and especially the way things are moving with some of their partner airlines. Just think of it this way; the wait won't be as long as it's been up until now.
costas1979, I asked CTC that exact question, their response was "order to meet the selection criteria for the ATP programme you have to have a current instrument rating and Class 1".

Speaking as an ex ATPer, you cannot really predict how, what and when. I believe you're in the right place for a proper career opportunity. If my experience is anything to go by, expect the unexptected!
Sciolistes, good to see someone spread some good news for a change. How long did you wait in the pool and how long ago were you called? if you don't mind me asking.
Any news for the ATP scheme? Someone has been called? What should I expect in the selection process for the AQC? How much and how long the course AQC? Examinations during the course? Do you think could be a good opportunities? thanks for all the information
I heard a CTC skygod has written off a £55m Easy Airbus on the 2nd day of line training, and that the insurance company has said "no more CTC after the current batch has gone through (September I hear)". Any truth in this rumour?
I was invited to the selection for the AQC, and I want to understand as much as possible on this topic. Could you explain this story? Is there anyone here in the forum called to start the type rating?

Sounds like a load of horse sh*t to me. If Easy had just had an Airbus written off I think the Rumours & News forum would be have a field day!
With due respect you haven't read what I have written. I said that I heard they are stopping CTC cadets after the current batch of agreed intakes, which is estimated around September. We'll see if it's true when the time comes I guess.
