Interviews, jobs & sponsorship Do ya feel lucky, Punk? Well do ya? If so, here's the place to swap the hot gen on who's sponsoring or employing, their selection criteria, and where those oh so elusive first jobs can be spotted in the wild. Watch out for the tumbleweeds...

Talking Air Transport Operations at City Uni

hi, im interested in doing air transport operations course at City University. It combines a Atpl with a degree. Has anyone here done or doing this degree or do you know about the standard of teaching. Do you think that doing this degree will improve your chances of getting a job? thanks, Lee

London Guilhall Uni does a better degree, it combines the PPL and ATPL into the degree which is paid for by your student loans, you can fly where u like too, City Uni is too expensive and restrictive, unless you've got £65,000 to spend.

Just make sure you compare like for like.

The City degree is an Honours degree, the London Metropolitan (they are no longer London Guildhall) in only a Foundation Degree.

The City degree incorporates a full intergrated ATPL course.
Metropolitan's degree is only up to CPL Day single engine ie no twin time, no instrument time and no MCC course.

You get what you pay for!

Lightbulb Comparing like for like.

Don't forget though, that it is also possible to continue, and get an honours degree with London Met after the foundation degree.

I think it's just an extra year.
