CityJet Cadet Programme
Hi,
I was at the London Pilot Show on Saturday and saw CityJet had a cadet programme opening this year. Did not manage to talk to them as I arrived late and they had allot of people trying to get information . Has anyone any information on it or when it will open?
Thanks

Hi there, yeah I had quite a lengthy conversation with both pilots there and they said that they're hoping for the cadet scheme to be initially opened around June/July. But bear in mind that the details of the scheme haven't been discussed yet - a FTO hasn't been chosen, so that's what they're thinking about now etc.
From the pilot's understanding, certainly for 2016/17 there will be regular application dates so it's not like the FPP or MPL in terms of once every year. I quote they want at least four schemes from now until the end of 2017 with 10 successful candidates each time.
Currently, they're unsure regarding the academic qualifications since it may or may not require a-levels.
Added bonus - you could be based at LCY

They have HQ in Dublin, operate RJ'S CRJ'S and the new superjet comming into service next month. The operate their own network out of london city and dublin, and then also fly for Air France and SAS. Anytime i meet one of thier pilot in LCY they always speak highly of the company and seem to have great places to fly into like Florence and steep approach city
