Aer Lingus Cadetship - Changes?

Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but I suppose it is relevant.

Regarding the Aer Lingus Cadet Programme.

Now that the Irish Government has sold its stake to IAG, and Ryanair being told to sell theirs, do you think the Aer Lingus Cadet Programme will continue as it it? What do we think the impact will be on cadet recruitment?

Not sure an IAG takeover would mean much specifically in relation to cadetships in Aer Lingus, however there may be a change in attitude if a new corporate ethos was introduced for recruitment. Some of the parochial recruitment tendencies and back channel mischief that has occurred in the past might be stamped out.

However it's a wait and see game.

I cant see them getting rid of the cadetship if anything they may expand it. Aerlingus currently have a shortage of pilots and the cadetship supplies them with a constant small stream of FO's. Also BA run their very successful future pilot programme under Willie Walsh and IAG which implies to me that they approve of cadetships. But of course this is just me guessing.
