Ripping Off Wannabees (again)

12 Indian nationals have been resident in Sussex for the past 3 weeks having paid an Indian company an estimated £150K in the mistaken belief that a 737 type-rating would be provided for them in the county. Due to start last week, the courses have now been postponed indefinitely. It is believed that the Indian deposit taker has disappeared with the cash and that the students will be forced to return home at their own expense. Watch this space.

SMELL

What stinks about this website is the fact that it originally started as a place for the wannabee community, yet when there's a genuine scam against them today, any item like this gets pushed aside. You should be ashamed. You should be really ashamed.

Shame on You

You automatically pushed the thread containing my previous posting into a siding.

I repeat what I said elsewhere:

What stinks about this website is the fact that it originally started as a place for the wannabe community (and people like me helped you get where you are Danny!), yet when there's a genuine scam against them today, any item like this gets pushed aside.

You should be ashamed. You should be really ashamed. Or is your £100K now more valuable to you than your principles? Eh?

And also, in the interests of fairness, would you explain to this community why 90% of the advertisement we have to look at is for self-sponsored type ratings? What, you mean easyjet's £120 K is not enough for you already? Delete by all means, but I will be back. Answer, please.

No, it didn't. It was for commercial pilots.

yeah right

Mate, I've met you in the crewroom, in the bus and in the seat. Were you, like, always a commercial pilot? Nah, didn't think so.

Show me a commercial pilot and I will show you a once wanna be!

This was a better pure aviation site a couple of years ago but that is just my opinion.

This attitude is exactly what has increasingly made PPRuNe useless.

I have a simple solution for you Arctic.....just stop paying your monthly PPRUNE subscription fee, let your wallet do the talking.

Rubbish. PPRuNe has always been what it says on the tin - it is not a wanabee's website - although it is clear some of you wish it to be.

Being ripped off is very unfortunate. Never happened to me but I take very good care who I give my money to - for anything. Buyer beware.

I wish all those who lost money better fortune in the future. However do not blame PPRuNe.

I have reported your post on R & N to the Mods/

Wannabees started 4 years after the site began as they were spoiling the signal to noise ratio for the pros. Also still the biggest single area of complaint about the present South Asia and Far East forum

Plus ca change
