Interviews, jobs & sponsorship Do ya feel lucky, Punk? Well do ya? If so, here's the place to swap the hot gen on who's sponsoring or employing, their selection criteria, and where those oh so elusive first jobs can be spotted in the wild. Watch out for the tumbleweeds...

Great job offer now!!!

Recently I saw the following advert with a TRTo!

Wanted, A320 pilot with min. 2000 hrs experience could get job with Airline X on A340! (1000 hours on A320 req)

Conditions pay your OWN conversion course from A320 - A340, work 500 hours for FREE for airline X, and pay your own accommodation in country X!

Here is the best part, you would need to provide a bank guarantee to the value of 30.000 Euro, that bonded you with the airline for this period!

If you think this sounds like a joke, I can promise you it is not!

Sri Lankan?

Either way, I agree it's craziness that people take these offers up, but the fact is they do, because they are desperate. As long as they do, these conditions will remain the same or get worse, it's a vicious cycle.

I don't get it ... anybody with 1000 hours 320 who isn't a complete wit can just pick up the phone to QR ... yes it's a crap job but Lanka is even worse, and QR at least pays you properly from day 1

Cadets might be on hold, not sure. They're definitely still snapping up people with quality time on 'bus / boeing, an old mate of mine from Easyjet applied the other day and they called him straight back for interview within a few days

Do you think if I offered to pay for fuel I'd be in with a chance?
