Interviews, jobs & sponsorship Do ya feel lucky, Punk? Well do ya? If so, here's the place to swap the hot gen on who's sponsoring or employing, their selection criteria, and where those oh so elusive first jobs can be spotted in the wild. Watch out for the tumbleweeds...

Hi Trayman

I did my training from PPL to CPL ME-IR with National Flight Centre (NFC) at Weston, and would highly recommend them. Great bunch of instructors and staff, always willing to put in time with their students regardless of the level they're at or what license they're working towards. They've got a good setup, with briefing room and area to get weather, NOTAM information which will prove very useful to you when you start doing nav planning for cross country flights.

Other schools at Weston are FlightWise and Skytrace, but I'm afraid I've no experience with them.

Best of luck with the PPL

To be perfectly honest, i'd not use weston to learn to fly if i done it all over again. It's become too commercialised and most are unfriendly!
Not to mention that it'll probably close down soon!!!

Consider training at Newcastle Airfield or Trim Airfield, Most likely better prices and better atmosphere.

Just my thoughts...

I was based at Trim last summer and met all the folks there. Great place, friendly instructors, good aircraft and ideal for doing a PPL (not an intensive 4 week course but spread out over time).

If you can travel further afield than Weston go for it.

Enjoy wherever you go!
