Wink How do I Work at 19 Years Old?

To antes56

Thats sooo easy to work as a student engineer, specially if the college is certified by the GCAA and is owned by the airline & the course includes 3 months of On Job Training (Not only at Emirates Airlines (you have the choice), but also in Atlas Air, Air Arabia & Etihad [as an employee of Abu Dhabi Int'l Airport, where Etihad make the maintenace there as Etihad don't have their own Engineering Section [it is the flag carrier that uses the government owned Airports all over the UAE])...we are considered as CHEAP staff at this stage, where they don't pay me when working. Moreover I get assigned to do specific tasks under the supervision of well experienced & licensed engineers (TYPE RATED)...and get assigned for things that I had studied about in the college and applied (workshop sessions) and achieved a mark over 85% + attending the subject's teacher daily interview (with the trainees where he is free to ask me about the subject face to face.

& by the way...I'm 19 years & 6 months old...6 months differ in such a field.

Please open the link below & view the info about the College, but please lets stick to our discussion (Etihad Cadet Pilot) not me!!!:

Like he said it was part of his on job training. Seems some people want to shoot people down as soon as they get any info from etihad.

There really is no point speculating until people start to receive offers for interviews or rejections. As Malirm said he applied early and his application has only now been reviewed I would think that we are all in for a very long wait!

Anyway, the more posts there are in this thread the lower our chances of getting onto the course are

obviously your not through to phase 2 of this global cadet programme since the maximum age is 26 and infact not even the emirati national programme since the maximum age is 30 and it says below your user name that you are 32.
You are absolutly right 121ace as naturally i would enter my actual details into PPRuNe and i would never make them up

Fact is i am in the target age and i got an e-mail yesterday, ah well haters..

No, now it seems that they have started shortlisting, but do they do the shortlising one by one and inform them or they shortlist the whole and inform them all together.

Jodiekeyz,

What is involved in Phase 2? Have they invited you to Abu Dhabi to take the aptitude tests? When did you apply?

Cheers.

Hi all,
In a lots of posts you're talking of the cv, but where do you see we can upload a cv??
In the documents list to upload, I can only choose, photograph, pilot licence, medical licence, copy of stamped log book, passeport copy...
Is it in an other category?

Etihad Cadet Program-Facts

Thr EY cadets program is already, there are 3 phases, phase 1, that has been running for some time is for UAE national, phase 2 is for EY Staff, this will be concluded within the next 2 weeks and the 12 staff will start in July.
Phase 3, which is the bit that applies to most of you, starts within the next few weeks, with a course date of November. People will be split into geographical groups and have their initial selection in one of 4 locations. Sucess there will result in you being brought to AUH for round 2.
Anything else on here is just rubbish.

The instructions are clearly written at the bottom of the Job Details section.

I don't mean to have a go at anyone but it's amazing how many people don't read the instructions BEFORE filling in the application form. They want to be an airline pilot which mainly involves listening to or reading and absorbing instructions and yet struggle to comply with this simple task!

Read the other thread too, this is the current as of 6/5/08 situation with the cadet program.
