Markos?....Plenty of other options?

Well firstly your age is an advantage, I started flying when I was 16 and there are ups and downs with that but mostly it gives you a head start, I know people who have gotten into aviation in their 30's!

If you have the financial means, do go and try and get your PPL, You dont have to rush it, take it slow, if you dont have the financial means, at least do the ground school, showing that you know the material looks good during interviews for scholarships and cadet pilot selection

other programs will come around, industry is growing, especially in asia and the middle east....

ey cadets

Ok, here we go again....

As I understand, the UAE expats are the first of 6 worldwide selections, they are the only ones this month, all others are next month, except 2 locations who will follow in early August. Europe/South Africa/Australia will be next.
Those who live in these locations will be contacted next, the other after this.
Any other information is just utter B**llocks.

Take a breath and wait!

Just to stir up a bit of debate have any of you guys been following the Emirates thread on the forum? Seems a few US guys are really dissapointed with flying over there. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this? Chap in my office is thinking of applying after reading the advert and article in Flight International.
Are you prepared for the middle east? Pros and cons? etc. Really interested to hear from people with regards to this.
Cheers (oh and good luck to everyone!)

for assessment prep....try out www.aviac.com - which I have used previously.

But there are others which are free as well.....

search on them. However, I did not think a few quid too much to spend to make sure I get sufficient prep time!

Best of luck....

If only I could apply!!

Comiserations.

Just wanted to ask...

Did you get an email to your personal email address or did you receive an email via the website in your 'My Messages' area?

Are you from the UK?
