Interviews, jobs & sponsorshipDo ya feel lucky, Punk? Well do ya? If so, here's the place to swap the hot gen on who's sponsoring or employing, their selection criteria, and where those oh so elusive first jobs can be spotted in the wild. Watch out for the tumbleweeds...
hey guys my application status shows nothing. infact there is nothing called status. yesterday it showed status = applied. now it doesnt shows anything. its blank. what does it mean??
guys i rang their manchester office and then they gave me their london head office address where i wrote a letter to them on last friday stating that were is my application up to and whether I need to do additional training and they sent me a letter saying that they want some one who has already got full PPL uk or USA license and medical class 1, should atleast have 60 hours of flying as they need some one who has got good experience.
hi all my status has changed to under review, anybody else had the same thing happen to them??? and how long does it take to go from "under review" to getting the final outcome?
Yeah, I am under review too now! Eeeek! So nervous, yet still excited!
I don't have a PPL, so I doubt I will get through judging on what Punit has said! But, then what is the point of having a cadet programme and only accepting people with PPLs? Doesn't make sense to me, but oh well, will wait and see!
not much with regards to flying thats why i doubt i will be considered.
i am 1 year away from graduating as a doctor...but have always wanted to fly so fingers crossed.
ooops sorry punit, u never mentioned that you mailed them and they mailed you back!
I thought right off the bat they told you all that stuff!
my bad
Ive heard of ppl getting rejection emails, has anyone recieved an acceptance email? Or one that simple states you have OFFICIALLY been shortliste etc.etc?
IMHO, getting shortlisted just means that you meet the minimum requirments. Ie age, education, etc. Thats why Im not surprised if most people get shortlisted. Its the bare minimum.
It ALL depends on the tests, interviews, and so forth!
juste applied today from Canada! good luck to everyone, it's quite confusing as to know if they want people with PPL or not...anyways we'll see! I'm under training at Moncton Flight College, started the 5th of May, only have 6 hours...
Thats why Im not surprised if most people get shortlisted. Its the bare minimum
Etihad better have a massive HR department
On the note of a previous question, from application "...under review", how long did the response take as to whether the initial application had been successful / unsuccessful?

Reason: Spelling
i guess just like everything else, out of 10,000, maybe only 5000 are eligible, and out of that maybe 2500 meet min. requirements, and so on so forth....but im guessing the # of applicants is growing by the day!
Every aviation forum on the net is talking about this!
But i do not understand your question? This is my theory: I think if your status changes to "under review" you are shortlisted. Otherwise it would just go blank (as someone mentioned, this means "on hold") or stay in the "applied" status and you'd recieve a rejection email!
IS there ANYONE here who's application status changed to "under review" and then either
(a) changed to "blank" or
(b) got a rejection letter (after the application change to "under review")
If anyone did have (a) or (b) happen to them, this would prove my theory wrong! It would mean that even if your application status DID change to Under Review, you may still get rejected at this point!
my status has changed to under review too. i think this just means that they are going through your application and seeing whether you meet the requirements they are looking for. if you don'y they'll reject you straight. if you do, they'll invite you to an interview and tests and what not. im pretty sure they're doing this in about 4 different locations around the globe and im certain the closest one to the uk is brussels.
so those of you who are under review..JUST WAIT!
and if you need to know, i applied on the 14th april, i got 1 hour and i got gcse's and a levels.
punit i checked my etihad email. there are no new emails. only the old one about the acknowledgment of the application. My status is still blank. Does it mean i m being considered for next intake. I dont have any atpl or cpl or ppl. But i have a vast knowledge of flying. I practice Microsoft flight simulator daily.
chetan787 plyaing on ms flight sim will improve the way you fly but will not count to your flying. its not worth it its just a game not much what i think u better of be doing is if you have got money or if any of your family members are ready to pay then start your ppl and then update your application for etihad try to do your PPL as fast as p[ossible that is what i might be doing as i got that letter which states me the conditional offer.
