Jobs with Thai Airways International

This is the message for those who seek for the job on the flightdeck with Thai Airways (TG).

At the moment,TG does not recruit any expats and it will be sometime before that is likely to happen even the company is growing fast at a substantial rate. Having said that if you wish to work in Thailand do try with other more localise airlines such as Bangkok Airways,Air Asia etc.... Good luck folks .

If you are not Thai nationals chances are impossible. The company has to recruit extras from the Royal Thai Airforce to cope with the growing demand.

Thanks Nick - useful info to me as myself and (Thai) girlfriend do intend to return to Bangkok eventually. Do you know if farang husbands (and wives) of Thai nationals ever get jobs with TG.

ChocksAwayUK.
TG has now strict policy of recruiting own nationals only. Even residency status in Thailand do not allow you to be employed as a flight crew. Eventhough, you'll need to be a qualified pilot already with good flying hours ,speaking good Thai and age below 45.
Then you'll have to go through Psycology Test carried out by SAS team from Scandinavia.

Life will be easier if you have a Thai passport otherwise it is extremely difficult if not impossible.
Having said that Thai now employ a couple of pilot to assist in the new A340 training but this is on a very short term contract only.

So good luck and enjoy in Paradise Thailand.!!
