Please Help me Find the Spirit of J&B

I am trying to find any pic's or press coverage of tha Spirit of J&B.

What is the Spirit of J&B you ask?

It was a 1938 Lockheed L-18 that was restored and then in June 18 1987 it with a crew of 4, Hubert Auriol, Patrick Fourticq, Henri Pescarolo and Art Powell flew it around the world in an attempt to break the record set by Howard Hughes in 1938 with an L-14. The project was a success.

The aircraft was ferried to France (Reims) first where the restoration began then eventually ended up in Creil ( IGN) for finale work. The aircraft made several promotional flights around Europe and Press conferences were held in each of these places. The around the world flight took off and landed during the last three days of the Paris Air Show 1987.

If anyone out there has any pictures taken of this craft during this period of time or knows of anyone who does...please PM me or post the pics here if you like.

Thank you/ Merci in advance.

I didn't know that to go around the world you had to fly in the Southern hemisphere. And after all these years of flying I was doing it wrong.

Sorry, I was mistaken, to qualify as a round the world flighr you have to cross all meridians.

And cover a minimum of 22859 miles.

OK I give up. J&B is good stuff to drink and I love it. Now...does anyone have any picks taken of the L-18 loadstar named The Spirit of J&B back in 1987 ??
