Standard is never good enough to join AIR FRANCE
Simplified????? This is not the proper way of protecting high salary level in the Airline.
They will never simplify any recruitment process. They feel to be the world aviation elite just because they went through the selection process and no matter their real skills.

The only positive point is that if you join your training will be shorter as an experienced A320 pilot.

Good luck

Uhm thanks for the help.
I'm still trying to understand if it would be worth to try since i have all the requirements except for my french which has gone a bit bad lately.
I have the French nationality but would need some training to get it better.

NO way to join without a PERFECT french language?

cheers

There you go. First requirement on top of the page: "s’exprimer couramment dans la langue française."

just send in those resume's.
Maybe you get lucky and they might need some extra f/o's.
Any chance is a good one.
Learning French is not harder than learning a language right?

Fed up with these kinda remarks.
Typically French or Air French...
Are U an AF elite's club member?
If not keep it closed,
If yes congratulations you can still be proud of yourself and enjoy your good situation.

To answer your question: N

AUSTALIAN CALOU:

I'm not proud

I'm not considering myself as " elite " ( as 99 % of my fellows ! )

I' ve , as many many , been up and down for this job ( 3 rd job for me )
Please d'nt discourage any one to join: I can assure you there is room for any one , and of very various origins from fighter pilot to ex-stewardess or train driver ( known exemples)

Any chance is good to take: take yours. but if you say what you said on interview...

good chance anyway ! ( typical french remark )

I sense a misunderstanding between VNAP and australian due to language and culture.
The way I read australian was him being sarcastic yet humourous. The way I read VNAV was, he didn't get it.

I agree with australian when he says

And I have never been turned down by AF by the way.

To AMEX:

Thanks for you cultural and linguistic mediation !

for me sarcasm = bitting remark (webster dic. ! )...

anyway: for me the only elite club is the " one mile high club ! " = typical french remark !

Good flights !

Dec A320

There's a word from insiders that even A320 DECs will be considered. On the ad it's stated AF is looking for A320 'pilots', wich encopasses both ranks.

DEC 320 skippers ??? !!!! You've got to be dreaming mate.
Just to clarify a point. AF pilots, to which I am happy to belong, do not give a chinese fart about being the salt of the skies. They just do the job they enjoy doing, some after a career in the military, some right out of their nappies, others ( my case ) out of regional. No one gave me the job, nor did any of my colleagues get it for " free ". period.
AF, as any employer, sees fit to take whoever they wish. What if they want to dance tango, if you want the bloody job you'll just do it...........or sod off. isn't that along the very " free market " lines I've had the misfortune to read on this site. You should be so happy then.
Carrying on munching your bitterness if you did or did not get a kick in the toushy. Who cares !!
Not being fluent in french is ............NOT GOOD ENOUGH ! We have Brits, Irish, Italians who all speak flawlessly and certainly don't b...k our n.ts winging about the " high " standards they 've had to go through. They're happy to be there as we're happy to have them.
As stated above, go to the AF site, it's all written............in plain french that is.

u still did not answer the question my friend...
maybe u got carried away with all the crap about standards and who 's whining and so on..
I do not believe the question was about high standards or whatever u think u got that others don't.
the question was about DEC 320..it will be a simple y or n..just like in the quiz u had to take before joining...

keep it cool dude....

But...

the rumours about AF taking A320 DECs is very strong...like it or not...after all, we've been living in a very strange world. Everything can happen, including nothing.

yeah... If I were you I wouldn't get excited, it's just a rumor. You'll still have to pass the selection. Full stop. Just accept it.

A clear answer : there will be no A320 DEC in AF, positions are only for F/Os (even if you are a capt, you will begin as F/O)

Sure?

Dear Casimir,

With all due respect, I won't be so sure...
Furthermore, through a quick search you'll learn that 100% of the world airlines had to recruit DECs at certain points of their histories. There's nothing wrong with this. A bit frustating for the ones waiting for upgrade, but sometimes it's simply necessary.
And ANY carrier in the world WILL DO IT if needed, no matter how sad, angry or frustated we can be.

Vrille,

Relax, I'm no longer interested on single aisle aircraft job, for many years already...Maybe I would consider by the time AF offers a good package for B777 DEC...

I'm very relaxed "mate", I'm a Flight Simulator pilot and when AF offers me a DEC position at one of their desks I'll take it . You are right, all the airlines have taken DEC's at some stage in their history, but AF is not any airline ! not my mindset (I don't care, really), theirs. You're just wasting everybody's time spreading rumors... Get a life and fly the 777 (superb machine) wherever you are!
