French ATPL?

Hi.

I have some questions regarding licenses in France.

I am currently doing my JAA ATPL in Norway, and i have heard that i need a special french ATPL to fly for a french company. Is this correct? And what addidional education do i need?

Thanks

Crave

Crave, why do you want working for a french company ??

Because the only french company is Air France, but she doesn't recruit at this moment...AF recruits only cadets or cadets pro, but not pro with CPL/IR...
TRY UK.

Thanks for the replys guys

When it comes to speaking french, i have 2 years of french classes, from high school, so i hope i'm able to "re-learn" the language. However when it come's to being french, that's for sure gonna be a problem, since i am norwegian... But i thought the rules set by EEC/EU(free movement of labor etc) would make it possible for me to get a french license.

Why i want to work in France? Several reasons, girlfriend, friends, i enjoy the culture,... Dont get me wrong, i'd gladly for starters work anywhere in JAA, also outside JAA. But i'm nearly just trying to figure out my opptions.

I know that AirFrance is the only french company, however there should be several companys wich have a base in France? (if you know someone, please post a reply). And as far as it comes to AirFrance, in my mind, it is one of the flag-ships in European Aviation. I'd proudly work there.

Thanks again for the reply's, and keep them coming

You dont need a French licence to work in France even for Air France..a friend of mine have been hire with a CAA jar fcl and a handfull of Belgium work for AF with their Belgium licence! but you will need to be fluent in french as only few of us speak English properly
It would be much easier to change your girfriend...

Bons vols a tous!
