Question GSS Comeback?

Hi,

Before I post my question, I just want to say that Im not sure what forum this thread should go under but as its to do with GSS (Global Supply Systems) i thought this would be the correct one.

My question is very simple, what does everyone think the chances are of GSS making a comeback? According to several websites they still exist but just do not have any aircraft as they have all gone back to Atlas. So does anyone have any information on GSS regarding the likelihood of them getting another contract? I'm still so at BA for not renewing their contract with GSS and feel really bad for all the staff who I guess no longer work there. Plus it was nice to have a cargo company based in/around London.

Thanks for any and all replies in advance

GSS Comeback?

Go to the freight dogs section, a very lengthy discussion ( positive and negative) about GSS, and the fact that they do still exist, with 2x 777Fs on their books !!!

Where can I find this discussion as there doesnt seem to be a forum specifically for GSS? So happy to hear that, 2 777F's!?

GSS Comeback?

Yes the 777s may be on their books but they are not operating them in any capacity. Crewing/flight following/maintenance etc. I suspect it is another "convenience" agreement to allow Atlas (or there sub Titan Leasing) to put them on the AOC of GSS.

If the CAA had ANY desire to sustain the letter and spirit of the law, they would pull the GSS certificate immediately (if not 6 months ago). There is NO valid reason to retain their certificate; they do not operate ANY aircraft, regardless of paper trails of possession...

I was under the impression that the AOC would be pulled 6 months after flight operations ceased unless they had obtained aircraft? I guess yet another workaround. There must be more tumbleweeds than staff over there. It can't be too taxing having aircraft on your AOC that your not even operating? The odd manual revision or audit maybe.

GSS Comeback?

So it's not a GSS comeback at all. It's Cargologicair Ltd which has some former GSS employees/management on its books? It also appears the airframe is sourced from/via Volga Dnepr with no ties to Atlas as previous? Just saying.
