Freight Dogs Finally a forum for those midnight prowler types who utilise the unglamorous parts of airports that many of us never get to see. Freight Dogs is for pilots and crew who operate mostly without SLF.

I just read on another website that their financing fell through last night, and that their company internal website says that they stopped operating. It also said that they would now file chapter 7 -which is, I believe, liquidation.

I haven't been able to confirm the above anywhere else yet.

Assuming the above is correct the guys may want to apply to World. We are still short of pilots and I heard we hired 45 MD11 guys from Gemini last month. They get short course being typed in the MD11.

An excerpt from today's AirCargo News may / may not be a clue -

"Aeroflot begins new era with MD-11Fs . . . Aeroflot Cargo is not formally importing their first three MD-11Fs, as they will soon be leased from Boeing Capital . . ."

They've already been operating at least 1 for a few weeks as I have seen it on my travels, so I doubt that the first one came from Gemini since it stopped opering..

I think they are ex varig MD-11 and have been converted to Freigters in the last month. Cargoitalia was trying to get them, but at the end Boeing gave them to Aeroflot

Just saw VP BDP, Q and R Aeroflot MD11 in Hahn 14th August along with DC10F VP BDE & F all together on the freight ramp. The new color scheme looks v impressive on the 11
