Freight Dogs Finally a forum for those midnight prowler types who utilise the unglamorous parts of airports that many of us never get to see. Freight Dogs is for pilots and crew who operate mostly without SLF.

ATI DC-8s

What's the deal with ATI grounding some of thier DC-8s? How will this affect the airline going forward?

With today's fuel prices, I can see that it makes sense to park the five JT3D-7 DC.8-62-series that they were operating;

N21CX/N41CX/N71CX/N728PL/N799AL

ATI was supposed to add three B767's to their fleet througout 2008, presumably to replace the retired DC.8's.

ATI grounded the DC8 70 series over the weekend. It was just for required maintenance. All the DC8 70's are now up and flying. As for the 60 series, we still fly N41CX, N71CX, N799AL our last 3 DC8 62's. B767 should be here soon.

I just love the blue ATI colours and they look great on the 767.
Did Boeing convert this aircraft from pax to cargo ?

Is ATI still hiring? Hard to find any place or person to send a resume. APC says they are hiring but going to the web site only shows 4 non pilot jobs. can anyone give me an email address to the CP or HR? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
