Freight Dogs Finally a forum for those midnight prowler types who utilise the unglamorous parts of airports that many of us never get to see. Freight Dogs is for pilots and crew who operate mostly without SLF.

DHL danger pay
greetings.

Just a question to those in the know, a mate of mine told me (this is a rumour network) that crew flying for DHL into Iraq are supposed to get $200 per crew member per landing in Iraq? Can someone confirm this or quash this as a load of BS?

because im possibly going to fly for them and i wish to take this matter up with my contractor! so is the two hundred dollar danger pay per landing fact or fiction? anyone?

$200 per landing sounds reasonable for someone flying an aircraft with a payload of perhaps $200,000 , or more , only when you put a similiar value on your life. If your life is only worth that , go for it.
