Freight Dogs Finally a forum for those midnight prowler types who utilise the unglamorous parts of airports that many of us never get to see. Freight Dogs is for pilots and crew who operate mostly without SLF.

DHL Bahrain Again

Made a long sincere post but did not come up on the forum. This is just a check on our Airline Director (AB). Did he really send boooze up to Kuwait on a Saudi registered aeroplane (from Bahrain). Crew are p....d off, cos DHL Security are regularly checking flight crew bags for contraband . Typically targetting the bl..dy crew for a change. No worries, I know that the crew as a group will testify to the Saudi Authorities that this man has not only done this in Kuwait but also in Iraq and Afghanistan on various occassions. Believe he could be in for a r..m, romance or some other untamed scenario in a Saudi pen. It is a very strict regulation that absolutley no alchohol may be carried on board S Arabian reg aeroplanes. (AB..... I have been around for some time now and I think you might want to take your nought or zero to safer pastures before things change shape.

Aren't all initial posts severely scrutinized and vetted for content ?

I'm absolutely sure that no booze is permitted onboard a DHL HZ-reg aircraft. I am sure that at no time whatsoever on a DXB turnaround that any crew member shopping in Duty Free would not knowingly bring alcohol purchases onboard. It would just never happen................

DHL bahrain again

Zossie, that was an interesting post with the staggering number of replies you reaped hehehehe. Relax!! I'm not going to scold you other than ask you that if you have a personal problem with AB take it on at the appropriate venue. Your attack may have some substance and but it comes across somewhat b.tchy. If you feel the need to use the PPRuNe - that is your democratic right.

Are you really not allowed to carry alcohol on SA aircraft or is it just prohibited in their territory???

Keep the blue on top.
