Freight Dogs Finally a forum for those midnight prowler types who utilise the unglamorous parts of airports that many of us never get to see. Freight Dogs is for pilots and crew who operate mostly without SLF.

Diesel862, As well as soaring fuel costs the would be investors are suffering as a result of the recession :

The hedge fund industry, vilified for undermining the banking sector through shortselling on shares, has itself fallen victim to the chill wind blowing through the City.
I hear thats its only Intavia that is to cease trading, so hopefully AIA may possibly continue ??

Good luck to all the guys/gals, they were a great team and fun to work with.

African International has been sold. Not sure whats going to happen to the staff or aircraft as I think both dc8 need C checks.

Lets see what the coming weeks bring. Good luck to all.

Das/CAS

Continental Aviation Services is still clinging on. Nearly all the staff at LGW have gone along with the office. All that remains is the hangar at Manston, some staff, a stored unregistered DC10-30 and the tooling and spares.

Rumour is that new owner of AIA is Botswana based. One a/c on B check in Jnb at mo, but both a/c require C checks.
