An-124 production to resume

24-Aug-2007 : An-124-100 production will resume following the completion of an agreement between Volga-Dnepr, Antonov Design Bureau and Gruzoviye Letatelniye Apparaty.

Volga-Dnepr and ADB will extend their fleets with modernised An-124-100 freighters and place an order for 17 freighters within the resumed production framework.

ADB also confirmed that it will join the ranks of shareholders of GLA Cargo Aircraft, the joint venture established in December 2006 by Volga-Dnepr and Motor Sich to manage the AN-124-100 resumed production project.

I'll believe it when the first aircraft actually appears in the halls of Aviastar, this announcement has been made so often that it's almost funny.
