This maybe a short term move, DHL has put in a large order for A330 passenger to freight conversions (guess where the AHK ones will be done). The A300s will be phased out due to lack of spares and replaced by converted A330s (don’t have to be that smart to work out where they will come from).

It has all the appearances of smoke and mirrors moving cash from one entity to another entity, just so that one posts a loss.
