It's hard to soar with the eagles when you are led by turkeys.

Turkeys? That’s a complement for them. We are all circling the drain, led by dingleberries.

And management's current task is to rearrange the deck chairs.

An all too familiar airline scenario I'm afraid...

She's taking on a lot of water! Can I still reserve a seat on one of the lifeboats?

Dropping out of the HSI Top 100 is tactical.
If the company sells out or more likely goes bust then the HSI isn't dragged down with it. This has been carefully orchestrated by Swire and the HKG Govt. to avoid a stock market crash.

D69, XLComplete,

I seriously think this IS the GRAND PLAN. Let's say the hedge was an honest, complete cluster f..K mistake. Induldge me. Just 1 minute. What better timing could you ask that "the sky is falling, we screwed up, times are tough, we all need to dig deep, if not now then it's game over in the bigger picture, etc "?

The only legitimate argument from MPOV from Mr.Hogg is that yield is decreasing (from a Group Point, and apparently only in EY from latest reports). However, isn't there an unofficial official Notice To THE WORLD that Swire is pulling the pin around 2025 or earlier? If so.......... What an amazing opportunity to cut costs, show to the New Owners (Mutha Russia, oooops I mean Air China) that the path to efficiency & cost cutting and and and and and was made in the late 20teens.

Food for thought.

CR. Epic. LMFAO. That sums this charade up perfectly. As another post mentioned, those on bases had better realise that this is more than about just the HK staff. Stand together, or die separately. This company needs to hurt over the holidays. What are you (the collective 'you') going to do about it ?
