Was I the only one that understood everything TT said?

Maybe I'm weird, but it made sense to me. Dragon pilots have no interest in the Cathay sandwich.

I'm sorry, SF, but it's not only Dragon pilots with no interest; most of CX pilots have no interest either!

Ah, that means we do have something in common after all..
I predict a seamless integration as we will all hate Cathay equally.

Heard that 10-15 locals wearing red lanyard applied HKA. 2 are working there with another resigned recently. CD is really very good at training pilots for another airline! Time to win!

My current job is 50% China / 50% elsewhere. I do not check in before 06-45am and generally no later than 6pm.

I do not request red eyes , nor do I sleep during most the day to prepare myself for a 12-14 hour duty.

I dont suffer jet lag nor am I exposed to significant amount of Unchartered cosmic radiation.

I do have a predictable lifestyle, I dont stress about the company and ive no ( repeat) NO desire to integrate with our miserable dysfunctional owners accross the road.

I am happy as a dumb f$(k .
I have zero aspersions.
End of.

It's slightly odd that CX pilots are being told about this in Fleet Forums, whereas KA pilots have heard nothing. A ply to divide the two company's pilots perhaps?

I think the assumption is that having been “absorbed” there’s no need to tell KA anything as it will effectively vanish.

Commands

There are not enough FOs in KA putting up their hands for, or eligible for command. This will not man the recent order for 30 plus 320/1. DEC to KA is currently under consideration. I think it more likely that they will merge the lists to allow Green FOs to bid Red. The reverse will also occur and allow KA CNs to fly Green aircraft to partially solve the shortage there.
SOPs and training department will be aligned/merged too by the end of the year to facilitate this.

Will KA and CX pilots be on equal terms regarding pay and benefits? This MUST be the bottom line in any agreement!

It is beyond ridiculous that the HKAOA is being asked for concessions while KA pilots (who are on better contracts to begin with) are not.

Raven, do you really think that they are going to leave the KA pilots alone?

Dragon...surely you're not suggesting that I apply logic?

I do get your point though...

However, if I were to to apply logic, I would say that this is the time for all of the pilots, in all of the different unions, to proclaim that an attack on one union is an attack on all of the unions.

I think the Swire management went to the same school as Michael O'Leary.

The elephant in the room is a wet lease . CX can wet lease KA aircraft , and vice versa. And do , and have done.

Cx operating KA flights to KHH & TPE.
KA freighters flew on wet lease to CX, with CX call signs/ KA aircraft & crew.

Now KA teainers commonly train CX JFOs .

The worms for turning. Watch this space.
